This past July the Resiliency Center of Newtown was able to provide another wonderful camp opportunity for the Newtown/Sandy Hook children with the help of some pretty remarkable people!

We cannot thank the staff and volunteers at Camp DanBee enough for welcoming our kids in such an enthusiastic and loving manner. Our bus was greeted with upbeat music and Executive Director Jay who led our kids through a tunnel made up of dancing volunteers where the kids were then able to get their Camp Sea Stars North gear. Jay really made our kids the priority including renaming their camp to Sea Stars North for the two days we were there. He brought in amazing volunteers and worked tirelessly to make sure our campers were safe and happy. Activities included zip lining, tubing, archery, pottery, and playing hoops with former Celtics player Kenny Battles.

It is a blessing to be associated with such remarkably giving people. We thank Jay and everyone else who helped make Camp Sea Stars North the exceptional experience it was for both campers and RCN staff. We are humbled, and so very appreciative of the enormous effort made by so many!!
