Who We Are:
The Resiliency Center of Newtown is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that offers Creative Arts Therapies, Community Wellness Programs, and Specialized Trauma Therapies to those impacted by the tragic events of December 14, 2012 and was created to help both children and adults reach their full potential.
Our Mission:
The Resiliency Center of Newtown offers trauma-informed services focused on long-term individual and community healing for children and adults impacted by the tragedy at Sandy Hook School on December 14, 2012. We serve the following community members:
- Sandy Hook Elementary School Families
- All school teachers and staff members (including bus drivers, coaches, instructors, volunteers, etc.)
- All first responders, clergy and volunteers
- All Newtown residents and the greater community impacted by December 14, 2012
The goal is to help people adapt to stressful events in a healthy and flexible way. The Resiliency Center of Newtown helps individuals normalize their reaction to a very senseless act. The center has created an approachable, community-based environment to help people connect with others and encourage the healing process.
Fee for Service:
If you are a client that does not qualify for services under the Victim’s of Crime Act grant a subsidized fee for therapy will apply.
Art/Music/Play – $50 per 50 minute session
Brainspotting/MNRI – $75 fee per session
RCN has a strict cancellation policy for all clients. If for some reason you cannot keep your scheduled appointment, please give us as much notice as possible so we can make your appointment available to someone else. If RCN does not receive at least 24 hours notice, a cancellation fee will be charged.
