Monday and Thursday afternoons for 10 weeks beginning September 15, 2014 — 4:15 pm to 5:30 pm at Fairfield Hills Campus What is Girls On The Run? Girls On The Run is a national program that encourages 3rd – 5th grade girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through running. Our curriculum takes the “whole girl” approach as we nurture our physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Objective:  We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based program which creatively integrates running. Program Details: Begins September 15 and lasts for 10 weeks, meeting two times per week (Monday and Thursday afternoons) Covers timely topics such as standing up to bullies, dealing with gossip, making healthy decisions, choosing our friends, and service to community The group completes the program on 12/6 by participating in the Trumbull 5K event together Registration is free of charge, but space is limited to 15 girls Contact Jennifer at jholguin@resiliencycenterofnewtown.org for registration Go to GOTR national website at http://www.girlsontherun.org/ for more information.
